"Hispanic" is not a race
Many people assume Hispanic/Latino is race, and assume Mestizo, Castizo, and sometimes even Indigenous Americans are of the "Hispanic" race. But nor Hispanic, nor Latino are races.
What is a "Hispanic" person
All Hispanic means is, you're from a Spanish speaking country, and/or your mother tongue is Spanish. You are Hispanic if
- You were born in a Spanish speaking country or;
- Born to at least one parent who was born in a Spanish speaking country, and you speak Spanish yourself.
- If you have a Spanish last name, one might consider you Hispanic, although unless you actually speak Spanish, you're not Hispanic.

What is a "Latino" Person?
Well, for one, every Hispanic person is Latino. A Latino has the same criteria as a Hispanic person, except the languages can be any Romance Language, these languages are:
Now, there are other Romance Languages, in fact, there are plenty more, but non of them are as wide-spoken as these 6. Catalan really, is way behind the other five, but way ahead of the rest of the Romance Languages.
Now, some people get confused with the terms "Latino" and "Latin American"... A Latino is any, from anywhere in the world, that fits the criteria for a Latino...

A Latin American is a Latino from a country on the continent of America, now, other then the countries listed under "Hispanic" (because all of them are included; minus Spain) countries,these counties are:
